Distraction Sickness

If the churches came to understand that the greatest threat to faith today is not hedonism but distraction, perhaps they might begin to appeal anew to a frazzled digital generation.

Andrew Sullivan is a controversial writer who uses illustrations that may be offensive to some readers, but his article on modern struggles with technology is our latest link for the Signs of the Times.

EP Folks, I encourage you to take the time to read this interesting and timely article. I encountered it last week through my membership in another group and found it both convicting and affirming, as weird as that seeming contradiction might sound. Plus the “revised” artwork is pretty funny. Check it out! And thanks to whoever decided this was worth sharing through the EP website.

Thanks Susan. Glad it resonated with you. As with most things EP, there’s a group that discusses these things. If you run across other articles that you find convicting and/or affirming, drop us an email and we’ll see about putting it up.
